Coaching for Life Success:  More on Thanksgiving

Continuing my thoughts on Thanksgiving.

Here are a couple of traditional Thanksgiving Hymns and some scriptures about giving Thanks:

We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing;
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Come, ye thankful people, come,
Raise the song of harvest home;
All is safely gathered in, Ere the winter storms begin;
God our Maker doth provide For our wants to be supplied;
Come to God’s own temple, come, Raise the song of harvest home.

Psalm 118:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his;  we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

I Thessalonians 5:18: give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

And . an illustration about being grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving
